Listening * Leading * Serving
For the past 12 years, I have been actively involved in and serving our Eastern Carver County Schools community. I’ve spent countless hours in our schools as a parent volunteer, PTO board member, and staff member. My involvement on various district advisory committees has also given me a firsthand understanding of how our public schools operate.
These experiences have allowed me to learn, listen, serve, and see our district from many different perspectives. They have also reinforced what I believe should always be at the heart of our public schools: our students and the people who dedicate themselves to educating and supporting them. I want every student to have the opportunity to reach their full potential, and I want every teacher and staff member to have the resources, tools, and support they need to do their jobs well. Our schools belong to our community, and we have a responsibility to use the resources entrusted to us wisely and responsibly.
If elected to be your next school board member, I understand that the board’s role includes approving budgets, establishing district policies, and providing oversight of the superintendent. I take that responsibility seriously. My goal will be to make thoughtful, informed decisions that put students first, support our staff, and maintain the trust of the community we serve.
